About Me

a little about moi..

- My name is Beccah Nelson (yes two c's and a h).

- I enjoy reading. I really enjoy fantasy fiction and classic literature.

- I am a recent graduate with my Masters degree in English (20/21st Century Lit).

- I have two dogs. A toy poodle named London Bellatrix Nelson (London B Nelson for short) and a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel named Elanor (and yes, that is how I spell it).

- I am a major nerd, and I am proud of that fact.

- I am 26 (bleh).

- I'm a full-time Freshman Composition teacher at a local university.

- I hate to write, but I don't mind teaching how its done (I just don't particularly enjoy doing it myself).

- Despite being an English major, I can't spell to save my life (thank the Lord for a little thing known as spell check).

- I am very anal retentive. Bless the little hearts of the girls who have to help me plan a wedding.

- I cannot stand to be alone. Seriously, within a few hours, I have convinced myself I have no friends, and I want to curl up in a ball and cry myself to sleep.

- I do not like scary movies, and when I say this, I mean I am deathly afraid of them. I don't watch them and no peer pressure will make me cave.

- I still have nightmares and convince myself that there is an axe murderer in my apt with me on a regular basis.

- I love taking pictures. I hope one day I can be good enough to use my talents for other people.

- I don't listen to music that much.

- I have 18 nieces and nephews.

- I love to travel. I have been to England, France, Mexico, Nicaragua, Italy, and Greece. I brag about this fact a lot.

- I am addicted to Lord of the Rings.

 - I want my love life to be like a Jane Austen novel (is that too much to ask?).

- I cry in almost every movie I watch. It doesn't take much.

- I take voice lessons. I hope one day to be able to sing without walking off stage and bursting into tears.

- I have the two best friends a girl could ask for: Kaleigh and Lauren.

- Lastly, I have the best man in world to call my own - Johnny - he keeps me grounded.
